#35 April 2007 Move! May 18, 2007 |
Re-energize your daily breath and water practice. Add movement. Back in December, before I got hooked on creating my Web site, we had issue #30 "Become a Master of Perspective." Remember? If you can think one thing, you can think another. If you can feel one thing, you can feel another. Talk to me. Have you been experimenting with your perspective? Tell me some stories to share about changing your perspective. And what about issue #34 -- have you been looking at the night sky and wondering? Are you bewildered? It's not so easy to master perspective if you're not breathing or drinking water. Becoming a master of perspective requires fluidity and flexibility, wouldn't you agree? What brings fluidity? What brings flexibility? Water, for sure. Breathing, for sure. Yoga, you say? Walking? Yes, you in the back -- yes that's right, swimming. Dancing! Skipping! Running, skating, tai chi, surfing, biking, horseback-riding, tree-climbing, love-making... What brings flexibility? Movement! And you know from experience that gratitude and generosity bring flexibility of spirit. They bring fluidity of heart -- love flows out and touches all you encounter. To become a master of perspective, practice fluidity and flexibility in all its forms. Tell me how it goes. Here's another Rumi poem. Bewilderment There are many guises for intelligence. Conventional knowledge is death to our souls, We must become ignorant of what we have been taught Run from what is profitable and comfortable. Forget safety. Live where you fear to live. |
